Our hotel is situated at the Rokin, the canalised part of the river the Amstel, close to public transport, between Dam square and Rembrandtplein, and within easy walking distance of the Rijksmuseum, van Gogh museum and Anne Frank house. The main shoppingstreets, Kalverstraat and Leidsstraat are just around the corner.

Hotel des Arts has been built in 1733 as two distinctive residences for the Maagdenhuis foundation: a foundation that began as a Catholic orphanage for girls in Amsterdam.
